Welcome to the fifth episode of Podbharti Lite. There are about 3000 Hindi blogs out there and they have heavily metamorphed during the past 5 years. From the initial Tech talks to Bhadas-ical tone to poetry, Hindi blogdom has seen all kinds of writings, sometimes dejecting them but most of times embracing them. Ravi Ratlami is a known name in Hindi blogging and has seen this evolution. In this talk he discusses the changing face of writings on Hindi blogs.

पॉडभारती लाईट का यह पाँचवां अंक है। हिन्दी चिट्ठों यानि ब्लॉग्स के एग्रीगेटर चिट्ठा जगत की मानी जाय तो चिट्ठों की संख्या 3000 की संख्या पार कर चुकी है। और 5 साल के दरम्यान में हिन्दी चिट्ठों के लेखन की दशा और दिशा में भी भारी बदलाव हुआ। तकनीकी और छिटपुट लेखन से भड़ासिया लेखन तक और समाचार विवेचन से और कवित्त सवैया छंद तक। हिन्दी चिट्ठों ने हर लेखन शैली को कभी बंद तो कभी खुली बाहों से स्वीकारा है। रवि रतलामी हिन्दी के जानेमाने चिट्ठाकार हैं और इस अनोखे परिवर्तन के साक्षी भी। चिट्ठामंडल में बदलाव, विविधता और संभावनाओं का वे जायजा ले रहे हैं अपनी वार्ता “हिन्दी ब्लॉगः नये लेखक, नये तेवर, नई रचनायें” में।

In the fourth episode of Podbharti Lite Debashish Chakrabarty reviews the newly introduced browser plugin Zemanta meant for bloggers.

Zemanta is a semantic analysis engine available as a Firefox extension that improves your blog posts by suggesting appropriate pictures, links, tags and related content. Right now it only supports Firefox and an IE plugin is expected soon. Zemanta works with most of the popular blogging platforms including Wordpress, Blogger, Typepad, Movable Type and Live Journal.

Ep-3: Reliance Fresh faces opposition

Last year Reliance’s foray into the retail market through “Reliance Fresh” chain of super markets faced a lot of initial opposition from small time businessmen and retailers. Retailers protested and damaged their stores at Ranchi and at several other places. Podbharti did a though provoking story on the subject, trying to see both sides of the coin. Featured in the report are the opinions of Hindi bloggers Aflatoon and Alok Puranik. Aflatoon is an activist of Samajwadi Janaparishad party while Alok is an economist and satirist and a proponent of Free market economy.

रिलायंस समूह की गत वर्ष खुदरा बाजार में रिलायंश फ्रेश नाम सुपर मार्केट दुकानों की श्रंखला की शुरुवात का छोटे दुकानदारों और खुदरा व्यावसाइयों ने जमकर विरोध किया। राँची एवं अन्य अनेक जगहों पर पथराव कर दुकानों को क्षतिग्रस्त किया गया। पॉडभारती ने इसी मुद्दे पर मीमांसा की, प्रयास किया कि सिक्के के दोनों पहलुओं पर नज़र डाली जाय। इस पॉडकास्ट में समाजवादी जनपरिषद पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता अफ़लातून और अर्थशास्त्री आलोक पुराणिक की राय ली गई। दोनों लोकप्रिय चिट्ठाकार भी हैं।

Ep-2: The Mohalla controversy

Mohalla, started and run by NDTV’s Avinash Das, has been a popular Hindi blog. Last year it was also surrounded in probably the biggest ever controversy of the Hindi blogdom on the issue of communalism and freedom of expression and the role of aggregator thereof. Podbharti’s Shashi Singh covers the controversy and talked to Avinash, Raveesh Kumar (another NDTV correspondent who blogs in Hindi) and blogger Sanjay Baingani.

एनडीटीवी के पत्रकार अविनश दास द्वारा शुरु किया हिन्दी ब्लॉग मुहल्ला लोकप्रिय रहा है। पिछले साल यह ब्लॉग सांप्रदायिकता, अभिव्यक्ति की आजादी और ब्लॉग एग्रीगेटरों की भूमिका के मुद्दे पर हिन्दी ब्लॉगमंडल के सबसे बड़े विवाद के सिलसिले में भी आकर्षण का केंद्र रहा। पॉडभारती के शशि सिंह ने इस विवाद पर एक रपट तैयार की जिसमें हिन्दी चिट्ठाकार संजय बेंगाणी और एनडीटीवी के ही पत्रकार और चिट्ठाकार रवीश कुमार से बातचीत की गई।
